A taste of 9GAG? Sure.
I WISH.
If the above came true, mosquitoes would be the most loved creature on earth.
Let's face it. People with obesity problems could be like, shoved directly into a chamber of buzzing mossies and WALLAH. They'll come out with 40% of their body fat reduced. Poor little mossies though, they'll be highly exploited just like sharks. And all those bug experts or insect lovers would start widespread campaigns to conserve mosquitoes.
HAH. HAHA.
Conservation efforts for mosquitoes. Whoever heard of such a thing.
Speaking of conservationists, I read an article today in the paper regarding conservation efforts for endangered rhinos(Yes, I read the paper, people. Keeping updated with what's going on in the world is important, or so mom says). Apparently, now, the 'modern' way to save these rhinos from extinction would be to breed them in captivity---using (surprise, surprise) IVF, or in-vitro fertilization. Cause natural mating is too difficult, poses a heck load of problems, the female is too old, the male is too old, yadda yadda yadda. Get's me thinking sometimes, whether these kinds of methods are in line with what I believe in. Mom has obvious issues with IVF and other fertility treatment that are deemed 'unnatural' and against God's perfection. She says scientists and doctors nowadays are trying to play God, creating clones, and test-tube babies, drugs, drugs, and more drugs.
I agree with her regarding humans, but what about animals? In our desperation to save them from extinction, these scientists are doing this for their own good. Is it wrong though, in the sight of God?
But no matter. It pains me to see issues regarding animals being hunted, killed, or their habitat destroyed, because I can't do anything about it. If I got the chance, I would volunteer on board the Sea Shepard, the world-famous and controversial ship that is used to fight against the Japanese whale hunters. I would volunteer for Whale Wars. I wouldn't mind getting sent on one of those tiny speedboats on a mission to sabotage the hunters' whaling attempts. I would do that despite the danger. Steph thinks I'm mad(She supports their cause, but she says it's a step too far taken to volunteer for something so dangerous), but I do want that chance.
My parents would kill me though, if I broke such news to them. XD Dad would go out of his mind with worry, even if I'd graduated by then. I suppose there are stupid decisions and stupid dreams, but this one is something that I will just let be by itself.
So many animals, so little time to save them. Dolphins, whales, SHARKS, turtles, rhinos, LEOPARDS, tigers, panthers... I could go on forever. Also, I'd beat up anyone who dare torture snakes. Snakes are awesome. Don't you dare diss them; or you'd face my wrath.
Animal lover, out.
