The P Word

THE "P" WORD

Or, more likely, the letter.
Goodbye horrible L license. :D

Roads not taken(yet), here i come !

*P.S : To drivers out there, do forgive a certain blue Hyundai with a faded P sticker on the windscreen with the number plate 7722 should you encounter one with disastrously terrible driving. D:

Cos its most likely to be me. :P

Doubts

VAMOS ESPANA.. OR AM I?

The very very madness-filled aftermath of Spain's victory left me a little doubtful as to why i supported them in the first place. Will tell you why in a sec..

Oh, and Nadal, thats not very fair. :(

How come you get to hold the trophy as well in the players dressing room huh???(Note Iker Casillas at the back)
Oh well, you are Spain's other number one pride after all. But heyyy, he's wearing FAB'S NUMBER! Awww.

Speaking of Fab, take a look at this.

F**k you, you useless Barca players.

One of the reasons i now understand why my bro nvr took to Spain. He said that three quarters of it are made up of Barca players, and all they do is put those ideas into Fab's head.

I agree with him now. Part of me now wishes Holland won.

So what if you dedicate this to Arsenal, cesc? When you leave nothing will leave us with a fonder memory than that-- no, not even your so-called "dedication".

And to the rest of those Barca players, you guys rock on the field but other than that i think you're just plain jackasses.

Final Farewell?

FAREWELL?

I really am on the losing edge i see. My blogging days are truly numbered.
Even though i come online ever so often i cant be bothered to read blogs or even blog anymore.. this blog can almost be considered officially dead.

Very well. Final farewells can stall for now.

I stayed up till 5.30am catching the World Cup finals. How awesome was that? :D
All very well to proclaim yourself a tennis fan but i couldnt resist lending my support for the spanish team.. although seeing Fabregas coming on as a sub was a little bittersweet. Seeing him rush forward on full cylinders was pure heaven but then remembering that he is potentially off to Barcelona next season made me want to hate him for betraying Arsenal.

All i can say is, if he's forced to stay at Arsenal, then good luck gaining back the fans' support. But if Barca manages to cut a deal with Wenger, then have fun rotting on the bench for three quarters of the season, Fab. Either way, you've already broken my heart and all the millions of other fans out there. Why did i ever put your number on my jersey?!

Okay, football season axed off the spot! Its time to focus on.. studies. Trials. SPM. AUGH.

I dont even wanna talk about it.
There's so many things to think about now : Driving, piano, trials, studies, etc.
But i just realised that going to church was one of the best things that ever happened to me, even though i was absent from it for years and so far away from God, somehow or other He brought me back again. This showed me that God never does give up on you; you can offend Him and avoid Him but as long as you have Him in your heart and mind, He'll be as obstinate as you are.

Praise the Lord. :)

Anyhow, back to sch tmr. Waking up at 3.2opm today was not that pleasant. Erratic sleep pattern disrupted my body immunity and i was sneezing all day. Hmm. Thats the last time i'm ever staying up till the wee hours of the morning.

Till then, vamos espana! :D

Wimbledon

W for Wimbledon;
W for World Cup

So many things to blog about, yet i never get to the task.
Hmmm, i think my blogging days are numbered.

Eh, eh, i must quit blogging abt tennis. D:
But what would i do without tennis? Especially now that Wimbledon is on and all the fuss around the World Cup(i'm for Spain, by the way) we're constantly flipping channels on the tv to switch from one to the other. You can guess that i get harked at all the time due to my whining that i wanted to see who was playing. I dont mind watching football myself(its quite entertaining, to my surprise) but sometimes there's a good match going on on Centre Court--even if its not Nadal-- and its nice to watch a game you know by heart. Watching football's entertaining but i get flustered during offsides and fouls and penalties and blah blah blah.

(I dont know how many times my dad explained what offside meant and all the time i nodded but never got a thing right. Sigh.)

Best of both worlds. :D Who says there wasnt such thing as fusion sport?

Too bad England crashed and burned. See, never get too hyped up about an overrated team or they are almost certain to make embarrassments of themselves. Oh well. Serve those arrogant English players right-- top of the list of jokes is John Terry.

But football will always come second to tennis--

Wimbledon : bring it on baby.

tighten those nets..

start popping the champagne..

bring on the contenders..

and you're all set for one explosive tournament, World Cup or no World Cup! :D
Btw; Nadal you better avenge Spain's loss to Switzerland. That is, if you can get past Soderling tmr, which i highly doubt. :( :( :(

Good luck anyhow.

Augh, almost 2am again. We're stuck in the rut of getting our Gemala senior page up and ready and its seriously taking up Jin wei's and Ker li's and my time.

And to those fussy buggers out there; thanks alot for ruining the page i designed. That includes our class teacher and whoever who disagreed with the title. Seriously, it pissed me off big-time, have you any idea how much work i put into it and how much problem its adding to Ker Li?

Humans can just be so selfish and inconsiderable at times.

Nocturnal

NOCTURNAL

So its like 2.20am and i'm still awake on the laptop.

Bad, bad idea when school's starting tmr.

SCREW SCHOOL.

I'm still on my break; studying is still far far away like all fairyland dreams.
The thought of addmaths is driving me nuts; the mention of physics and chemistry is enough to make me vomit.

Plus, i'm not looking forward to any of my results. For the record, i dont actually give a damn. Top of my list is my English and addmaths. Addmaths because i know i gave the worst effort in history and English because i already knew beforehand it was a disaster.

But, like i said, its not that i actually give a damn. I've so many things on my mind now, its going into overdrive and crashing.

Getting through this year is going to be the toughest challenge so far.

ESPÍRITU DE UN CAMPEÓN

ESPÍRITU DE UN CAMPEÓN

I hate to say i told you so, but.. i told you so. :)

Since i was away( regrettably ) during the final, i failed to catch it or any other repeats and never got to see Rafa thrash Soderling( at last ). Oleh sebab itu, saya akan membiarkan picture-picture tersebut do the talking. :D

*Excuse the pure Manglish i am using. For some reason i've been hooked on mixing up my languages like a cocktail these days.

Taste of victory can never be any sweeter :

His smile this year was extra wide, i believe. :D

Cough. Lucky kids. I always wanted to be a ballgirl at the French Open.

He missed the taste( or bite? ) of his fav trophy so much he left teeth marks on the silver.

And, as the saying goes, when we work hard it is important to play hard too! :D

Whether it was coincidence that he was wearing red and black as well, Nadal instantly became a new member of the Incredible family.. while at Disneyland.

Sobs.
i always wanted to go to Disneyland.

One day lah, Esther, one day. Keep telling yourself that.

Also, because he works hard for the money, Mr Rafa Nadal has landed himself a new million-dollar fashion endorsement :

Um.

If you can, try to focus on the awesome-ness of the watch and ignore the rest of the photo.
Even i found it so (photoshopped)gay i wanted to cry. LOL.

But that is a very nice watch. O.O
Its is also very light and very modern and very suitably custom-made for tennis-playing.
And goodness knows how much it freaking costs.

Bottom line? Dont ask.

Anywho, it doesnt matter because he's back on top. And going higher.

Vamos Rafa.

Not for the first nor the last time. :D

Breaked

DEAD FOR FOUR DAYS.

Choo, get ready to be bombarded by panicked-stricken sms-es from me during the French Open final. :D Since i'll be in Pangkor, i have no other source of updates. Heh.

Beach, beach, i need the beach. Going crazy from stress.

Cya all, ppl.

Quoted

QUOTED

"Esther, what were you writing...?"

- Erm, an essay? O.O

LOL, I still mull over the epic statement my teacher said to me last Wednesday.
I mean, never before has anyone gotten lost in the words i pen on paper. Is it really that difficult to understand a 2-and-a-half page essay on Money?

Or maybe my river drowned in its own swell.

Esther, eat your writing skills out.

N-A-D-A-L

N-A-D-A-L

What are you, Rafa?

So many things, so few words.
So i shall use your actions to speak for you.

(Caution : Super-photo-heavy post below. You have been warned)

You are :

A team player ..

Wait.. is that Janko Tipsaveric i see???? Ooops..

A fashion icon....

Heck yeah! :D

A.. stripper..? O.o

I wouldnt count that out though. :P

A golfer..

So long as you dont end up like Tiger Woods im cool with it. :)

The COOL one...

No doubt, i'd say.

The FUNNY one...

No, you dont need braces.

The PATIENT one...

Wonder how long he waited for the fish to bite his bait.

The Playstation Addict...

You should teach me a few moves there. -_-

The CopyCat...

Or maybe Great Minds Think Alike, and Do Alike. :D

The Friendly Fire...

"Bring it on, Roger..,"

The HeartBreaker...

Or maybe just a Big BULLY.
Why did you have to be so mean????

The Joker's partner in crime...

Heh. Nah, i just made that up to accommodate this pic. XD
I love random moments that define his personality so much. :D

And lastly...

A LOVER..

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.
Lol, were you expecting Xisca? 8D
I think she should be worried to see him too close for comfort! XD

Hehhhehe. I've lost count of the number of times i've found super gay photos of Rafa. Its all camera tricks i know, but they're so convincing you just want to die of laughter.

However, all those are nothing compared to what you really are on whole.

So what really are you?

I found out the answer all through those years of watching you.

YOU'RE ONE IN A MILLION.

Thats what you really truly are and always will be. The brightest among the brightest of brightest. The champ of the champions.

Dont stop now; cos this is only the beginning.

HAPPY 24 YEARS, BIRTHDAY BOY :)

Cliche as this may seem, may all your wishes come true.
Starting with *ahem* the 2010 French Open.

And after that?

Who knows.

If this is just the beginning, i can only fathom what i would see when he reaches the end.

French Open

ALL ABOUT ROLAND GARROS.

Yep, its the time of the year again ppl.

Because the look on Verdasco's rather stoned face says it all. XD

Heh.
Anywho;

Who doesnt love the icing on the claycourt season?

Even if sucky rain messed up most of yesterday's schedule and i had to sit and endure repeats of women's matches played the day before. Except i didnt because i was too tired and slept early and was dead to the world for nearly 12 hours.

Yes, i WAS that tired. Bloody bio and physics took so much toll on me i sacrificed my sanity just for that two and a half hours. In 48 hours i only had like, six hours of sleep? D:

I will get back to those days of torture once exam is over for good(though not for long, augh). For now, peace comes falling slowly as i am able to watch tennis again! Ole, French Open! :D

But during the first two days of tennis-watching, i uncovered a horrible truth behind the players' scene....

One word : F-R-E-A-K-Y.

Moral of the story : Always consult with your fashion designer about coincidences involving clothing color with another player of the opposite sex as to not turn out looking like you made a pact with him/her.

Or maybe it really was a pact. :O

And Feds stayed truly blue to his bluesy favourite blue...

Yes, he did ballet when he was younger. Wanted to touch it up now even though he's on the job.

And in tennis, you have to learn to mingle. I mean, off the competitive scene, imagine all the fun they could have..

Err.. not that kind of fun.

But this kind!

Feds : See you in the final, mate?
Nole : Err, we have to discuss that with Rafa..
Feds : Yeah? Where is he?
Nole : Dont know. He muttered something in spanish and disappeared somewhere. He has got to stop doing that!

Rafa was just playing just now but then my dad wanted to watch a dvd. Since i knew my mum would heckle at me anyway for watching Nadal, i took the wise choice and for the first time watched a cantonese movie. AND, found it really good! :D :D

After that, i went and loaded the whole Ip Man movie( my dad lost the dvd, zzz) and watched the prequel of Ip Man 2. Damn, was it awesome. Made me actually wanna learn some kung fu for the first time. LOL.

Though i also had to make sure i had english subtitles, if not i would be at loss as to what was going on. Good thing the dvd had english subs( albeit really really bad grammar) and being able to grasp a vague sense of the dialogue was good enough for me. If not, half the time i would be treating my father as a translator. Lol, and so would my mum. Heh.

Feedback : Jackie Chan, get lost!!

Tmr, its Prince of Persia for me. Yes, at long last. Unfortunately, I'm going to swoon over the guy that tarnished the reputations of men like Jet and Cord McCoy. Much regret in that, but since there's no tuition for once i shall spend my free Saturday on the run at the cinema.

Chemistry has already taken a back seat.

:S

You Remind Me

THIS IS HOW..

.. you remind me of what i really am.

Gina just told me that my coach asked her whether i made it to MSSM today at Lakeview.
I wanted to go today and tell him myself but my mum was tired and i decided it wouldnt be fair to exhaust her further.

I dread telling him the news tomorrow.
And the re-opening of another nightmare chapter in my life.

I dont know how he will react, but despite knowing he wont blame me i still feel i've let him down, let myself down, let my teammates down.
How much more heartache must i take? My mind has not strayed from my focus on exams, but after that what will old pains inflict me with? Wounds that will refuse to heal, or scars that will forever sting when disturbed.

I just feel so troubled and sore. I'm on the brink of throwing myself off a cliff. People say dont dwell on the past but i did try to forget it and it was ok for awhile. I try to not let it haunt me and take control of me when there's always the future. But some memories leave such a bitter taste the bitterness will forever be etched in my mind.

But then again, that's life. You know what? I've enough of me. Get the hell over it, and move on.

What does reminiscing old mistakes bring you anyway? Emo-ness and no confidence.
I'm tired of being so weak. Its happened, so be it.

I'll make better mistakes in the future.

Bad Dreams

BAD DREAMS

.. that come true.

Why, Fabregas, why?
It broke my heart when the news came that he wished to leave Arsenal for Barca. I mean, how demoralising is it when your own captain abandons the club? What impression does that leave on the rest of the young squad?

It still hurts seeing pictures and news of him all abuzz with him leaving for Barcelona. I wish now i wasnt so involved in football, but unfortunately i am and always will be for Arsenal. As corny as it sounds i nearly sobbed with anguish when reality just hit. i never expected him to leave.. but it is his career after all. How do i see him now decked out in a Barca outfit? When Henry left i didnt give a damn but Cesc?

On the other hand, i understand his frustration with the club not winning practically anything season after season. When you're split between loyalty to a continuously weakening club and a golden career chance, a footballer doesnt have to think twice about what to do. Not when a huge club like Barcelona are at the peak of their form and sweeping all the titles in their path.

But it really really really breaks my heart to see him go. And i cannot fathom how Arsenal will deal now without their captain and best midfielder. I can no longer see his pics without horrible scribbles of old scars reopening. I cannot bear to see the old photos of him with his Captain armband and think of where he is now.

Sorry for the sickening sentimentality, but i still cant get off the shock of his decision. Damnit Wenger, GO AND SPEND SOME MONEY ON SOME BETTER PLAYERS. What on earth are you waiting for? For the current team to mature? And get Fabianski off the team! Get some longer-limbed goalie for all our sakes(though i like Almunia). For the first time i'm mad and upset at the same time over some football issue. Nadal not included. Funny, i never thought Fabregas had such an impact on me. Usually i'm all about tennis.

French Open is starting on Sunday, hopefully it will help take my mind off everything lately, from exams to Fabregas to my MSSM disappointment. Nothing soothes me better than to see Nadal victorious again.

~ Adios, Cesc Fabregas. ~

Balls

IT'S ONE BALL OF A WORLD

Lets face it : Balls make the world go round. Heck, even our wonderfully round Earth is the shape of a ball. Thats how much influence balls have on us.

See, it even inspired the greatest game of all :

Who doesnt love football fever? :D

Okay, so i'm not much into football, not as much as my own brothers and father( if there was ever such thing as football cancer i think they might have it along with the billions of other men all over the world). But balls do involve themselves around everybody, yes, i mean EVERYBODY. Everyone has to encounter some kind of ball in their life, its irrevocably unavoidable..

Like :

or :

There's also another version of balls involving the men but i think i shall stop with the vulgarity on my blog right now.

Lol, even so, in this sports-mad world, nothing is spared : Baseball, Netball, softball, volleyball, basketball, squash, cricket.. just to name a few.

And to quote the very ego-provocating slang, "Have you no balls, man??"

And sometimes, our very ball-y worlds do collide.

I cannot tell you how gay this pic looks. Unfortunately for Ronaldo.

In relation to that, Ronaldo is actually a huge fan of Nadal and Feds. Yep, apparently he loves tennis( high five for him there!) and since Rafa was playing in the Madrid Masters he and a few of his Madrid teammates decided to drop by.

I'm sorry, I really really really couldnt help it. XD

Oh, and the dude with the question mark plastered on his face is Raul. Whoever he is, i'm sure football crazies would recognize him.

Speaking of tennis, i have finally watched my first complete Nadal match in months! :D :D :D
Yes, FINALLY. You have no idea how nice it is to see him play again, especially on clay.

I am becoming increasingly irresponsible being here blogging when exam is already on next week. But then again, my brain needs a break from all the addmaths its been through all afternoon.

Hopefully, i dont burnout before my science papers. :/

Adios ; ~

Time After Time

TIME AFTER TIME

I'm getting old. Like ooooooooooooooooooooooold. Like Jia says. I'm becoming an old old lady.
I'm getting way too many nieces and nephews in two years! :O

Meet my new little nephew. :)

I think his name is Xue Yang. Or was it Xiu Yang?
Either way, as long as i pronounce it right it doesnt really matter. Let the parents worry about the spelling lol.

Ah, generations pass so quickly. What oldies we all seem after what seemed like just a couple of years ago when we were hanging out at playgrounds and playing catch.

Except for the little squirt in the middle, we're all garnering for tomorrow as adulthood approaches.

Yep, time flies by so quickly. I look forward to attending my first wedding of whoever gets married first! :D :D

In the meantime,

Do you believe she's seven years old next year? O.O

Everyone thinks she's three. Heck, even i thought she was three. Sorry, i have too many cousins to keep track of their correct ages. But seriously, did you see me when i was six? I was literally double her size. Well, i should have been, considering i was double her age.

This is beginning to remind me too much of biology. I've been studying the hypothalamus and the endocrine system and now i just remembered about dwarfism and the lack of growth hormones secreted by the pituitary gland... augh. Ellysha just called me a freak that day after i recited the names of all the bones in our body. HAHA. Yes, bio freak i am. :D

Now i gotta go do my maths. -.-'

P.S. I managed to hunt down an ultra-clear video of Shakira's Gypsy that was downloadable with my realplayer( i couldnt find one on YouTube and all the clear ones were download-protected) and then transferred it to my iPod. :D :D :D :D

Finally, i can watch steamy Nadal anytime i want. Muhahaha. XD
