Sports' Day

A SUNDAY STORY.

Wake up in the morning feeling so bermoral. Okay not really. Just that the annoying phrase from our class cheer is really hard to shake off.

Wake up in the morning(NOT feeling bermoral).
Eat?
Message friends.
You guys going to sports day?
Apparently not.
Fine. I shall stay and sleep.
Mum nags. Fine, fine i'll do the laundry.
Bro goes off to the stadium.
Ahh, bed. So comfy.
Almost asleep.
Phone rings.
What the shyte?
My alarm, probably.
Wait, i have no alarms on Sundays.
Oh crap.

Drags self out of bed.
Answers the phone.
ESTHER!
Er, yes?
Wow, so noisy. Can barely hear a thing.
Whose this?
DAMIAN.
Oh NO.
Where are you??
.. at home?
COME TO THE STADIUM NOW.
.. why???
You're running the relay race!
...

i am?
O.O

LOL. Seriously. What a way to drag someone to the stadium.
Especially after that person thinks we're not even participating in any relay race.

So i did what any jackun would do as last minute preparation. Flung on my sports clothes, stuffed my feet into my runners and rushed off to the stadium. Awesome.

Oh well, there's not going to be a next time anyway, so might as well give it your all, right?

This was my fabulous reward for being awesome enough to rush. Yep, this lump of metal.

Had we ended up medal-less i would have burned my Kasturi shirt in my backyard. :D

And finger painting was part of the programme too! :D

P.S I ran with my name streaked down my leg. Whether it looked ridiculous i have no idea, but at least i didnt look like i'd dipped my face into an entire barrel of green paint. :D

Worth it? It was okay. And no, it wasnt pleasant being woken up from your sleep and hustled into the stadium by Damian yelling into your ear to get your butt in there now. Like, lol.

But thats also what makes it so memorable. :)

Jackass-ness

JACKASS-NESS.

There's only one word to describe my class : JACKASS.
Lol, even the teachers agree. In fact, they hate us so very much we have merely made ourselves a name famous all over the school for being infamous among teachers. Except, Pn. Sherily said we were SUPERB that day. HAHAHAHA.

I found some of the photos we took during our "senior page" photography hour we were given some donkey's weeks ago. Coincidentally i was in school after missing practically a whole week away at MSSS.

Aside from the usual group photos, we also posed individually. And when i say "we", it usually means only certain specific people that just cant get enough of the lens...

.. okay i cheated and took these from Facebook. But they were so damn funny i just had to have them on my blog. Oh yes, and the "we" is all about two... guys.. er..

You get the picture.

Apparently Shia and David were the jackasses that day posing as models as if they did it for a living...

.. dont ask me what on earth they were doing. At times they baffle me so much all i can do is laugh. But at least it made the atmosphere less stuffy what with all those ppl(ahem) that were annoyingly acting coy and camera shy and refusing to take any pics.

And i wasnt one of them. :D

i LOVE that pic. Shia's face is truly genuinely priceless. XD
I dont actually get what scene thats supposed to be. Jealous wife? Mistress? Some dude scolding off a stalker? Lovers' spat?

On the other hand, i like the third option best. :D

BTW, I know Jin Wei posted this on FB, but i just must show Steph :

click to enlarge and you will see why XD

And if it makes you feel any better Steph, here's the latest shot of your annoying Kiki.

Eyes-big-like-marble. :D

See, i managed to capture her big green marble eyes! Salute me, Stephanie ng!

Finally, a decent photo of her. She's extremely fidgety to grab a photo of.

Oh, and Shia, sorry about the CF Camp lah. You gave me too short a notice for me to make a proper decision! Two days mana ada cukup masa. Haih.
Lol. Not that i actually attend CF anyway.

MSSS

THREE'S A CROWD

But apparently a whole hall of guys is nothing compared to us female players.

MSSS was exhausting every bit of mitochondria in my cells especially on the second day when they scheduled us to play three matches back to back. Where's the sense in THAT? Ugh.

Nevertheless we managed to get third for the team event. :D

Bangga abit la kan? First time for a jackass like me too.

I did take a few photos the first day when all the action was going on but that was with my camera phone and for some insane reason my comp refuses to upload them. Lol, sry. I really wanted to show steph how her good friend Prabu Brandon was doing. Hahah.

But i did meet someone else during the team event!

Winnie wong and her sis ( Katrina who refuses to be photographed. Lol ).

They were my friends a long time ago during our Bukit Jalil stint.. since then i never met them again till that day. Ahh, memories. :D

The last day was all abt prize giving... albeit we had to wait ages for the so-called "VIPs" to show up.

VIPs kononnya.

Neither of us knew who they were. LOL.
Either way, neither of us were pleased with their presence anyway. We just wanted our medals and then get the heck out of that stuffy hall. But nooooo. Guess who showed up late?

9.30 became 10.00. 10 became 10.30. 10.30 became 11am. Augh.

Look at all that booty. :P

Oh and nobody gets that gigantic trophy, mind you. It was all just for show.

The best shot Anna could get of us. Like, how potong is that to get our backs and SQUASH SMKSU?

Didnt matter anyway. We had a harried photoshoot outside the hall. The hassle was all over the place with pn. chandra bugging us about this and that and that the driver had to be back quickly, etc etc.

Oh well. Anyhow :

We did great all the same. :P

Thats the first and last medals we're ever gonna get. Hurray for that.

P.S Pn Chandra was nagging at us to take the photos with our squash racquets. Except neither of us brought them. Sorry we're not much of the poser kind. :D

MSSS; out.

Stop and Stare.

STOP AND STARE

People think i am : Lazy.
But i really am : Tired.

People think that i am : Rude.
But i'm just : Saying my mind.

People assume i am : Unfriendly.
But i am truly : Shy.

People see me as : a couch potato.
But they don;t know that i am : Some fitness freak.

Others look at me as if i : Sit in front of the tv all day and eat chips.
They dont see that i : do any extreme activity that i get the chance to.

Others judge me as : Someone that does accounting/business/some crappy office work.
But i aspire to be : Someone different that spends her life outdoors in fieldwork.

Others think that i : Have no real emotions.
But i know that i'm : Hiding myself behind this mask.

Conclusion : People think they know who i am. But i hide almost every aspect of myself inside of me. So what do you actually know about me?

Welcome Back.

WELCOME BACK

Hola! Say hello to the brand-new awesomely rejuvenated :

FC NADAL :)

No, its not football club nadal. Nadal finally fixed up his website and i was attempting to join as a fan/member. The last time i tried to join, they didnt send me the stupid confirmation email and that annoyed me so much( cos it took bloody ages for the process, goodness knows why ) that i gave up. In fact i signed in at Federer's website way more often than Nadal's because his website was super fast and super efficient. The Nadal page made my comp lag almost all the time.

Now i've managed to join, but they wont let me see any photos! (??)
All they curtly say is "This site is strictly for members only. Please sign in or sign up."
And all the time, i'm glancing at the sidebar above saying LOGGED IN AS : ESHTER.

Seriously, WTH man. All i basically do now is roll my eyes at his face grinning at me on his website. Sorry Rafa. If only i could rant my complain to you in person. But you probably wont understand my jagged English anyway.

P.S
Someone needs to kickstart me into studying. I've been so lazy i feel like a pig.
JUMPSTART, DUDE. D:

When Titans Clash

WHEN TITANS CLASH..

There must only be one hero. One man. Alone. While all his other co-fighters get killed he alone stands in the end. Only HE can defeat the villain. The fate of someone/someplace is in HIS hands. And then probably( most probably ) he will get the girl too.

That is usually the same old cliche storyline that borders practically every action movie..or either that someone usually dies.

This one's not much different :

Yeah sorry for the constipated look on his face.
Nevertheless Sam Worthington's super awesome, or maybe i just love him too much. LOL.

My bro wanted to watch Clash of the Titans so i grabbed him and hauled him to the cinema. Not a bad idea, seeing nobody wanted to watch it( Ling would only compromise on How to train your Dragon ) because the reviews were so rotten. Oh well, who cares as long as there's Sam Worthington, right? :D

It wasnt THAT bad. Ok, ok so i wasnt that good either. It was sort of in-between. Fun to watch because you dont need to think, bad because it had a rather lame plot and an even lamer ending. I think it got leaky reviews because the reviewers expected too much of it. This is what happens when you get an overrated film; its sink or swim for it.

Like, if its a success, you break your own world-record and score dozens of oscar nominations and win bags of awards and spark a phenomenon on the film itself( Avatar ). Or, you can be like Clash of the Titans, overrated and condemn by critics( although it still sells at the theater ).

But, like i said, again, who cares as long as there's Sam Worthington, right? :)

Charm and Harm

CHARM AND HARM.

I've finished my two Agatha Christie books already. I've done practically nothing but read them from start to finish. Now i have no books to hanker after again.

I'm extremely nervous for tomorrow night. I think i will shut myself somewhere alone and not watch Amazing Race because i dont think i can handle the elimination of my super-fav team. Looking at the preview they've been advertising all week round, i might have to start getting used to the fact that i have to watch the rest of the race without them. SOBS what will the race be without them and their hats??? T_T

But they say hope is a twist of unexpected joy.

Maybe they have a chance, maybe not. Odds are against them and that sucks. And of all the legs they have to be in, its in Penang. WHY?

My class is also bonkers. They keep changing the type and color of our class jersey till now i'm not even sure whats happening. Everyone was fighting that day over their personal jersey numbers and although i wanted 7 ( thats my birthday ) i knew there wasnt very much hope and i was right. Too many people snatched up the numbers with 7s in them.

So i settled for 99( thought it would be a unique number lol ) but then when Joon put his at 23( Arshavin's number ) i changed mine to an Arsenal number too. :D

Which is :

YEAHHHH. XD

Was so tempted to put Fabregas' name as well on the back, but i had to put mine. Would be entirely weird to put his name where mine should be lol.

After i told my mum i changed my num to 4, she gave me this fish-out-of-the-water look and said my dad wasnt going to be happy. Yeah yeah yeah always with the dumb superstition that 4 sounds like "die" in Cantonese or Hokkien but i dont think my dad is that superstitious. Only those really dieheart religious chinese are gonna make a fuss about their children choosing 4 as a jersey number.

As for me, who cares as long as i have Fab's num? :D

NO ONE BETTER STEAL IT.
Fab's 4 is MINE, muhahahahh.

Up, Down, Left, Right.

UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT.

I'VE BEEN TOO LAZY TO BLOG!

Yes i was extremely tired Wednesday onwards and did nothing but sleep and watch tv. Okay i was online but decided to go watch more videos of Jet and Cord instead of updating what i know i should have been updating.

I will get to that in a moment.

Speaking of Jet and Cord, i bet everyone must be scratching their heads. Well, duh, since nobody whatsoever watches The Amazing Race aside from me and my family as far as i know.

♥♥♥♥

The crappy part is, i cant ogle about them to anyone since no one shares any common interest in them( my mum supports them but she gives me that look when i began to go starry-eyed which means i have a nadal-like crush on them ) except, again, the Hawaiian mad hatter. If i hadnt been able to talk to Steph earlier during the week i think i would have burst from not telling anyone. Yes, Steph, we love them right? :D

I have never seen a team any more cooler and calmer than them since BJ and Tyler in one of the previous seasons. :)

Also, we have never rooted for any other team deeper than them since the two hippies won. Unfortunately, what they lacked compared to the hippies were brains. If they hadnt made any of those stupid mistakes, i bet they could've come in first place instead of getting backdrawn leg after leg.

But you just gotta love them for being nothing but their own country-cowboy selves.

"My gravy, i cant believe i missed on the first try! I'm gonna hear 'bout it back home..,"

Instead of saying "Ohmygawd" like most ppl, they go "Ohmygravy" which is just adorable. 8P

They couldnt believe it either when they had to ride wooden horses and play polo.

So all they could do was stare at the real horses galloping next to them. LOL.

Oh and Steph? I bet you're gonna love this..

:D

I dont know abt you but he just seems so cool in that pose, right? XD

Others will probably find it corny since he's wearing those rodeo pants but FYI they're both bull-riding champions and won five world titles each. Hah.

On the other tennis side, i have still failed to watch Nadal play.
AAAARRRGGHH, its horribly frustrating. And now he's gone and lost to Roddick so i have to wait yet again for the next tournament. Which i doubt i can watch anyway due to all the odds like diff timing zones, my packed schedule and study responsibilities. SHYTE.

Oh, and he decided to trade his snakeskin pants for a more subtle buttercream outfit. 8D

I dont know why i keep inventing new names for each of his court outfits. Its like a habit, the moment i see a new one my head just automatically concocts a nickname for it. In this case, the word "butter" appeared almost at once at the sight of his super-bright-yellow shirt and when i saw his white yellow-striped pants it reminded me of a kind of sweet which i LOVED like crazy( but has since been unfound, sadly ) and on the label it said the candy was made from real butter and real cream.

Hence, the word buttercream.
Lol, i know im weird. But i cant help it. Its so nice to be able to make up names for each of his different outfits. :D

As for the last three days of saringan madness, i didnt end my high school year medal-less! XD
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
It sounds so retarded kan, compared to shea wen who wins five-to-six gold medals every year when i've only managed to get third place in 800m. LOL.

But after you've pulled a hamstring qualifying for 400m, got LAST in 400m( dont know how that happened, ugh ), splashed in the swimming pool of a padang three times, got your shoes soaked and muddied, your legs and shirt splatted with mud, got mud flecked in the eye while running the 800m, twisted your foot and nearly falling thanks to the mud, and spent ages in nervous jeopardy waiting for the events to start,

.. at least one medal is a good consolation for the whole ordeal :)

I had to wash my shoes twice in three days. Poor shoes, i'd never put it through such conditions before. The worst thats ever happened was when it got really muddy and dirty while we were night-trekking during our class trip.

Oh well, those padang days are behind me for good. I shall hang my bronze medal next to my bronze merentas desa trophy with pride. HAHAHAH. XD

Goodness knows how many times i've settled for third in every long-distance event.
