WORDS FROM THE INNER GEEK
I want my robots. ROBOTS. You hear me, Michael Bay?! After all they're the ones doing all the saving-our-precious-earth around here. They deserve more credit in terms of screen time and besides, what's the whole point of calling the movie Transformers then?!
LOL. Sorry. Still rather mildly(madly) disappointed after watching the final Transformers film. Lets see, they made Prime look like a fool instead of the heroic warrior leader he truly is; Megatron had basically 0.5% screen time and did nothing but sit around like a wounded coward instead of fighting like he usually does; Sentinel was.. well..boring( all he did was sit atop the building with those pillars like how the Fallen did in the last movie); they killed off Ironhide and made me cry; there was too much focus on humans running around in a war-like zone instead of my beloved bio-mechanical organisms; there was Sam's girlfriend running around in(surprise, surprise! NOT) killer high heels amid the bombed-up street rubble with perfect hair and make up; and finally( I said this once and I'll say it again) there wasn't enough robot action! Geez! All the while they were busy showing Sam and Epps and the soldiers and his annoying blonde girlfriend which by the way acts like a wooden stick and all this while I was silently crying out inside for Megatron and Optimus and Sentinel or basically a good ol' robot showdown MINUS any kind of human interference. Well I did get that.. but the scene lasted like what, 2 minutes? And when it ended I was like, WHAT? THAT WAS IT? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
.. Yes, I know. Self-confessed geek here ranting here about her dissatisfaction over Transformers. Instead of putting Optimus as the poster boy in all those promotional pictures they should've just plastered Sam and that actress playing his girl plus army men instead. At least we would all get a heads-up. Sheesh.
Okay, I shall stop now. This is what happens when the inner geek in me surfaces. Must remind myself not to go overboard ever again. Ever. Prime or no Prime.
Unless, of course, I 'accidentally' watch Star Wars again... oh boy. Run, everyone.
